We are here to help & minimise the danger of an electrical fire with PAT.
PAT stands for Portable Appliance Testing.
Electrical equipment and appliances are inspected during portable appliance testing (PAT) by an expert to make sure they are secure for usage.
The majority of electrical safety flaws can be recognised simply by visually evaluating the electrical component, but some flaws and problems can only be discovered by testing.
Therefore, to find potentially dangerous electrical defects, both a visual inspection and an electrical test are performed simultaneously.
Having equipment examined or tested is not legally required, but at FSSNE, we think it is best practice to be able to prove an item has been tested.
For you to have a record of the condition and the date the PAT inspection was performed, our team will label and note each item as it is checked.
It's worth checking this because your insurance provider can also insist on PAT testing.
